Young People Relate (YPR) is the trading name of YPR LIMITED, a private limited company registered in England and Wales, company number 11266535. Registered office: Unit 12b Evelyn Court, Deptford, London, England, SE8 5AD.

What we collect and why

Messages and referral enquiries

When you use our contact or referral form we collect your name, email address, and, if you give them, your phone number, role, organisation, the services you are asking about and your message. We use them to reply to you and to deal with your enquiry. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering the people who contact us, or taking steps at your request before a contract.

Please do not include details about a young person in the form. For referrals we take those details by phone, through the council's secure channels.

Council portal accounts

Council staff who ask for portal access give us their name, role, council and work email address. We use them to check the request, decide whether to approve it, send sign-in links and keep a record of sign-ins and document downloads for security. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in sharing service information only with approved council staff.

Job enquiries

If you contact us about a job, we use your details to consider you for the role and to reply. Our legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

Donations

Gifts are paid on Stripe's secure pages. Stripe processes your card details; we never see or store them. We receive your name, email address and the amount so we can thank you and keep our accounts.

Security and preventing abuse

To stop spam and abuse we use Cloudflare Turnstile on our forms and keep a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address for a short time to limit repeated submissions.

Analytics

Only if you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. See our cookie policy. You can change your choice at any time.

Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. We use trusted service providers to run the site: Cloudflare (hosting, security and form protection), Resend (sending sign-in links and notifications by email), Stripe (payments) and, only with your consent, Google (analytics). They act on our instructions. We share information with councils and other professionals only where that is part of the service you asked for, or where the law requires it, for example to keep a child safe.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it for. Portal access can be removed at any time.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it or ask us to restrict it. Email info@yprelate.org. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Terms of use

The information on this site is general and may change. Our services for councils are provided under separate agreements. Gifts made through the site are voluntary contributions to the work of YPR LIMITED and are not eligible for Gift Aid.
